REDD+ Partnership 

The REDD+ Partnership serves as an interim platform for its partner countries to scale up actions and finance for initiatives to reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD+) in developing countries.

To that effect, the Partnership aims to take immediate action, including improving the effectiveness, efficiency, transparency and coordination of REDD+ initiatives and financial instruments, to facilitate among other things knowledge transfer, capacity enhancement, mitigation actions and technology development and transfer.  See REDD+ Partnership document.

This website holds information on the work of the Partnership, its aims and progress, and key documents, including the outcomes of Partnership meetings and workshops.

The Voluntary REDD+ Database contains information on funding, interventions and outcomes in order to improve transparency and coordination of REDD+ actions and support the REDD+ Partnership...more.

The REDD+ Partnership had been open to all countries willing to support or undertake REDD+ actions but is now discontinued.

For countries wishing to become a Partner to the Interim REDD+ Partnership: Please send an official request to become a Partner to partnership@reddpluspartnership.org, including contact details to a government focal point. The REDD+ Partnership builds on a voluntary, non-legally binding framework, within which the Partners may develop and implement collaborative efforts for REDD+. This framework is formalized in the REDD+ Partnership document, adopted in Oslo, May 2010. By submitting the request, the country indicates that it concurs with this document. At its next meeting, the Partnership will address the request and welcome the new member.

For organizations wishing to be registered as Stakeholders to the Interim REDD+ Partnership: To be registered as a stakeholder to the Partnership, you need to be affiliated with an organization that is registered as an Observer with UNFCCC. Please send an email to partnership@reddpluspartnership.org, including support for this affiliation. Latest news  

The last Partnership Meeting took place at the Sheraton Hotel in Lima, Peru on the 27 and 28 of November.  All the documents relating to the Meeting and Workshop are available here including the final Co-Chairs Summary.    The final version of the Assessment of the REDD+ Partnership is also available here .  The website will be kept live as will remain as a repository for REDD+ Partnership documents and meetings proceedings for two years.

  

Voluntary REDD Database (VRD) UPDATE

The 2014 Questionnaire is out and Partners and Contributors are requested to submit their information by October 31.

The REDD+ Partnership is pleased to announce the launch of the second analytic report: “Towards Transparency in Public Financing for REDD+: An analysis of data submitted to the Voluntary REDD+ Database 2013”

The report features a comprehensive analysis of the data reported to the Voluntary REDD+ Database and builds from a first analytic report undertaken for the REDD+ Partnership in 2012, incorporating additional data submitted by Partners and institutions during the 2013 data collection round. The paper is based on data submissions from both funders and recipients of REDD+ finance.  It features global and regional analyses of REDD+ financing and includes in-depth sections on multilateral financial flows, as well as on funding reported to the database for the fast-start finance period (2010 to 2012). The analysis was undertaken for the REDD+ Partnership by the VRD Team.
