SIRIS (Student Integrated Reporting and Information System) is a tool designed to improve student reporting and analytics capabilities at Stanford University. Employees who have access to to the system will be able to explore and interact with student data through the browser-based OBIEE portal at bi.stanford.edu. SIRIS is sponsored by the University Budget Office and Business Affairs, and is the product of an ongoing collaborative effort between Institutional Research and Decision Support and Administrative Systems, in consultation with the Registrar’s Office and representatives from the Schools and VP areas.
The goals of SIRIS are:
- To make possible certain kinds of reporting and analytics that have been difficult or nearly impossible to do in the past, particularly historical and longitudinal analyses.
- To make useful information more timely and self-serve, when feasible and appropriate.
- To make reporting logic more centralized and consistent
If you are currently using the “Student Administration” reports at bi.stanford.edu or if you regularly access the “Campus Community” or PeopleSoft functions through Axess, you may be interested in SIRIS.
