End of Year & Giving Tuesday Programs
End of Year & Giving Tuesday Programs Today is Giving Tuesday! November 28, 2023. This was our largest fundraiser in 2022 for USA Boccia and we need to keep these efforts going. Some of the greatest examples were our members’ connections reaching out to the personal relationships they have with Local Foundations, Corporations and previously involved individuals. Let us do this again with an even larger outreach campaign!
Regional Tournaments 2024
The 2024 Regional Calendar is: (1) Columbus, OH: March 23-24, 2024; (2) St. Louis, MO: April 13-14, 2024; (3) Blue Valley, Overland Park, KS: May 4-5, 2025 Make your plans now to attend at least one of these regional tournaments in order to be eligible for both the top division at Nationals AND for National Rankings. Detailed info coming out in January.
Equipment Loan Bank Program
USA Boccia is replenishing its Ball Loan Bank program. We have also added ramps and pointers to the equipment inventory list. First priority is for SCI and veteran athletes, but all current USA Boccia members are eligible to participate. The loan bank program's purpose is to provide a "bridge" for our athletes from the time they want to start playing Boccia until the time they can acquire their own equipment. Announcements will be sent out and posted when we are ready to start taking requests.

Ball Buy Back Program
For a while, it has been discussed that many athletes have "old" Boccia balls sitting in their closet and want to get rid of them for a variety of reasons. In USA Boccia's continuing efforts to grow the sport, a Ball Buy Back program is being initiated for USA Boccia's current member players and member clubs.
Board of Directors Position Available
With the ratification at this years Annual Meeting, an additional Board of Directors Seat in now available. The position is expected to be an Athlete position. If you have the time, interest and skills to help grow USA Boccia, then consider submitting your name. A formal announcement and electronic elections will be sent out very soon with the timeline and submission requirements.
Tribute to Lucy Berry
It is with our saddest hearts that we announce the passing away of our beloved Lucy Berry has passed away this past weekend Oct 22, 2024. She passed away in her sleep. A tribute write up is being written and will be posted here when completed. If anyone wished to add to this tribute, please forward it to Cathy Drobny. Please give your thoughts and prayers to the Berry Family. Memorial Service: Thursday, Oct 26 at 11:00am First Presbyterian Church, Lee's Summit.
