VPTL Seed Grant Program Announced For The 2014 - 2015 Academic Year

May 11 2015

The Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning (VPTL) is now offering a new seed grant program for the 2014-15 academic year.

The first seed grant program (then offered by the office of the Vice Provost for Online Learning between Summer 2012 through Spring 2014) was designed to broadly promote innovative teaching and learning activities at Stanford. Eighty-one grants were funded for projects from each of the seven schools. Building on the success of that first program, VPTL is now offering seed grants to fund projects in two categories:

Teaching and Learning Innovation: Project awards in this category are meant to encourage the use of edge-technologies and innovative approaches to teaching and learning that benefit Stanford students, and in some cases, additional audiences.

High Impact: Projects in this category should have broad university impact, and significantly impact Stanford students and/or learners beyond Stanford. Preference will be given to projects that are demonstrably integrated with the strategic goals of one or more departments at Stanford, and they can involve coordination with other universities and communities of learning.

The final proposal submission date for the 2014-2015 academic year is June 1, 2015.
