Book Clubs at the Library

Looking for a book club to join?
The library has several options for various ages & interests.


Brown Bag Book Club


Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a lively discussion and a good story.

  • Adults
  • 2nd Tuesday each month
  • 11am - 12noon
  • Rinconada Library, 1213 Newell Rd.
  • No registration required.
  • Sponsored by the Friends of the Palo Alto Library.

Graphic Novel Book Club


Discuss a new graphic novel on the second Thursday every month!
This book club is led by Danièle Archambault, Ph.D. (Linguistics), a researcher, author, and educator who is interested in comics as a way to document a society's cultural and linguistic landscape. 

  • Adults & Teens (16 and up)
  • 2nd Thursday each month - No meeting in December 2015 or February 2016.
  • 7-8:30 pm

Society of Bookworms


Join the Society of Bookworms for fun activities and book discussion.

This program supports assets from the 41 Developmental Assets for Children and Teens:
17. CREATIVE ACTIVITIES Young person spends three or more hours per week in lessons or practice in music, theater, or other arts
18. YOUTH PROGRAMS Young person spends three or more hours per week in sports, clubs, or organizations at school and/or in the community
25. READING FOR PLEASURE Young person reads for pleasure three or more hours per week.
