Shannon Kenny, Principal Deputy Associate Administrator for the Office of Policy

Shannon Kenny serves as Principal Deputy Associate Administrator for EPA’s Office of Policy. Shannon served as the Senior Policy Advisor to the Associate Administrator in 2011. Prior to this, Shannon worked for Congressman Edward J. Markey for three years and was integral to the drafting, negotiation, and passage of climate change legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2009. Shannon began her EPA career in 1998, and, over the first decade of her career, specialized primarily in and energy and environmental policy issues related to US manufacturers and in environmental performance measurement. She received a master's degree in environmental economics and policy from Duke University and a bachelor's degree in zoology from the University of Texas at Austin.
