2012-13 Season (Junior):

• Wrestled at 157 pounds
• Recorded a 6-9 record and a 3-3 mark in duals
• Went 2-2 at the Reno Tournament of Champions (Dec. 16)
• Finished 1-2 at Midlands (Dec. 29)
• Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team

2011-12 Season (Sophomore):

• Competed primarily at 157 pounds, posting a 13-10 overall record and a 7-5 mark in duals
• Finished third at the Pac-12 Championships in Boise, Idaho
• Tallied 26 dual points for the team
• Was 4-0 in major decisions
• Went 2-2 at the Reno Tournament of Champions in mid-December
• Posted a season-high three straight wins on three separate occasions
• Garnered Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team honors

2010-11 Season (Freshman):

• Began the season at 157 pounds, but moved up to 165 pounds in mid-January
• Recorded a 9-18 overall record and 2-10 in duals
• Was 3-2 at the Fullerton Open in mid-November
• Moved up a weight and secured two wins at the Lone Star Duals
• Finished 3-2 at the California Collegiate Open in early February

High School:

• A 2010 graduate of Big Rapids High School in Big Rapids, Mich.
• A four-year letterwinner
• Captained the team from 2008-10
• Two-time freestyle state champion
• Four-time all-conference first team selection
• Three-time conference champion
• Four-time all-state pick
• Named his team's MVP in 2008 and 2010
• Also competed in football his freshman year

• Lists his late father as his biggest influence in his wrestling career
• Also has an older brother, Seth, who wrestled for Eastern Michigan University
• His grandfather, Gerald, was a quarterback for Army
