STANFORD, Calif. - Jordan DiBiasi scored the first goal of her collegiate career in the 32nd minute to help lead No. 2 Stanford to a 1-0 victory against No. 9 BYU on Monday night at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.
It was an impressive showing for the Cardinal (4-0) which controlled the run of play for a majority of the match against a quality Cougars (4-1) team that came into the matchup on a four-game winning-streak.
Laura Liedle initiated the game-winning goal from the right sideline about 40 yards out with a long cross to the foot of Kyra Carusa at the top of BYU's 18-yard box. Carusa one-touched a pass with her left foot to open space inside the penalty box toward the right post that DiBiasi ran on to and placed in the left corner of the goal.

Stanford held advantages in shots (13-9) and corner kicks (9-4) but faced challenges from the Cougars throughout the game. The Cardinal defense did well to limit opportunities and force Cougars attackers out wide. Jane Campbell made one save in goal for her second consecutive shutout and 22nd of her career.
Stanford extended its shutout streak to 359:29 minutes and has not been scored on since the 31 second mark of its season-opener at Hawai’i.
The Cardinal generated numerous scoring opportunities throughout the contest with seven different Stanford players registering at least one shot.
BYU applied a majority of its pressure in the final 20 minutes of the game, beginning with a shot by Ashley Hatch that knuckled off the crossbar. The Cardinal’s streak of not permitting a corner kick ended at 78:34 when BYU forced the Stanford defense to clear the ball out past the endline.
Stanford registered 36 corner kicks this season before the Cougars earned an opportunity – a span of 348:34 minutes.
The Cougars earned three additional corner kicks during the next five minutes but Stanford’s defense did well to prevent any shots on frame.
The Cardinal continues its homestand Friday at 8 p.m. (PT) against No. 7 Penn State and Sunday at 1 p.m. against Oklahoma. Fans can purchase tickets at GoStanford.com and both games will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks.
