COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Stanford remains in second place through the first two day of competition at the Art Adamson Invitational in College Station, Texas.
At the conclusion of Friday's action, the Cardinal stood in second place with 576 points. Stanford is trailing host Texas A&M (831) but has an edge over third-place LSU (423.5), with Boise State (265.5) and Utah (236) rounding out the top five.
One day after claiming the 200 yard IM crown, Ella Eastin won the 400 yard IM race with a time of 4:08.82. Also claiming event titles on Friday were Sarah Haase (58.27 in the 100 yard breast, Janet Hu (51.45 in the 100 yard back) and Lia Neal (1:44.87 in the 200 yard free).
With two more event wins on Friday, Stanford has now also captured four relays overall. The 200 yard medley relay squad of Hu, Haase, Ally Howe and Neal clocked in at 1:35.92 while the 800 yard freestyle crew of Eastin, Neal, Lindsey Engel and Nicole Stafford notched a time of 7:04.24.

The annual event is held in honor of Adamson, was one of the longest tenured coaches in Texas A&M athletics history, coaching the Aggies more than 35 years from 1934 to 1970. During his time at Texas A&M, Adamson coached All-Americans and Olympians, while leading the Aggies to multiple conference team championships. He was inducted in the Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Fame in 1970, as well as the USA Water Polo Hall of Fame and the Texas Swimming Hall of Fame.
