We at the Green Business Program have been victims of our own success. Every City and County Coordinator can remember the first year of their program, getting excited every time a new business expressed interest in the program. Those businesses were lucky to have our undivided attention. We were so excited that they were interested […]

It was the kind of sunrise that brings hope, excitement about the things that are happening in the world, that makes you want to be a part of positive change. Lucky for […]

“Caring about climate is like living with a latent condition. Most of the time you feel fine, but every so often, you have a flare up of existential despair.” In the course of our work as Green Business Coordinators, we learn about many troubling things happening to our environment and can easily identify with this […]

The California Green Business Program leads the state and nation in working with small to medium sized businesses to grow a vibrant and healthy green economy. Led by a coalition of cities and counties, we contribute to more livable communities with healthier environments, while also conserving resources and saving money.
The program is funded by grass-roots contributions from local government and utility partners to make it accessible to small to medium sized businesses in California.
The California Green Business Network is a nonprofit organization that oversees programs operated by Chambers of Commerce, cities and counties throughout California. Businesses that apply receive personal attention from the public agencies and the utilities that serve them.
The counties and cities that offer the Program are listed below. County programs are generally available to businesses located in all cities within that county.
