Biography
Dr. Druckmann received his PhD degree in computational neuroscience from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he worked with his advisor, Idan Segev, on the interaction between single-cell dynamics and network architecture in shaping network activity. He completed postdoctoral work in the lab of Mitya Chklovskii at the Janelia Farm Research Campus, where he studied the relation between structure, function, and dynamics in neural circuits.
In his Janelia lab, Druckmann focuses on understanding how neurons represent and process information, especially in the context of two salient aspects of neural circuit architecture: high dimensional representations and recurrent connections.
