(TIM SHI/The Stanford Daily) Stay connected with the app's video feature. (TIM SHI/The Stanford Daily) Stanford fans around the world now have an easy place to go to keep up with their favorite team, the app Stanford Football Live. The app, created by recent Stanford alum Greg Wientjes B.S. ’03 M.S. ’04 Ph. D. ’10, hit the app store last week and is starting to get some buzz now that @StanfordFBall is promoting it. While still a bit buggy, the app provides a clean interface to make it easy to browse news, videos and tweets about the Card. One feature I especially appreciate is that links open within the app, allowing you to easily navigate from link to link. In addition there’s a “Schedules” page with past scores and links to buy or transfer tickets to future games, plus a map of local eateries to fuel you up before a game and links to the team’s Flickr and Facebook pages. Although at this point the app is really just a set of links to other pages, it provides cool functionality for quick updates about the team while on the go. Check it out and watch for more updates to come.
