Police Blotter: Oct. 22 – 27

This report covers a selection of incidents from Oct.22 to Oct. 27 as recorded in the Stanford Department of Public Safety bulletin.

Thursday, Oct. 22:

No incidents reported.

Friday, Oct. 23:

  • An unknown suspect stole a Stanford University laptop from an office in Jordan Hall between 12:50 p.m. and 1 p.m.
  • An individual was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol at the intersection of O’Connor Street and Nathan Abbott Way at 11 p.m.
  • An individual was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol at the Sigma Nu fraternity house at 11:30 p.m.
  • An individual was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol at the Sigma Chi fraternity house at 11:45 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 24:

  • An individual was arrested for public intoxication at the Sigma Nu fraternity house at midnight.
  • There was an assault and battery at the Black Community Services Center at 12:30 a.m. The suspect punched the victim in the jaw.
  • A large amount of blood was found on the floor of the men’s restroom in Tresidder Memorial Union at 3:15 a.m.
  • An unknown individual stole a reportedly cable locked bike from a bike rack, located on the victim’s porch in Escondido Village, between Oct. 20 at 10 p.m. and Oct. 24 at 6:30 a.m.
  • An individual was arrested for public intoxication at the Stanford Stadium at 11:10 p.m.
  • Two individuals were arrested for being in possession of marijuana at the intersection of Mayfield Avenue and Lomita Drive at 11:40 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 25:

  • An individual was arrested at the Arrillaga Family Sports Center for prowling, attempted theft, vandalism and possession of a stimulant between 11:55 a.m. and 12:12 p.m.
  • An unknown individual vandalized the plexiglass in an elevator at Escondido IV high-rise between Oct. 24 at 12:15 p.m. and Oct. 25 at 5:10 p.m.. The damages are estimated at $50.

Monday, Oct. 26:

  • A reportedly U-locked bike was stolen from outside of Studio2 between Oct. 23 at 8 p.m. and Oct. 26 at 9 a.m.
  • An unknown individual stole a backpack from a locker at the Roble Gymnasium between 3 p.m. and 3:40 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 27:

  • An individual reported the theft of an unlocked bike outside of Kimball Hall between Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 26 at 1 a.m.

There were seven alcohol transports reported between Oct. 22 and Oct. 27 as recorded in the Stanford Department of Public Safety bulletin.
