Bio

Divya is Manager – Marketing and Communications at WRI India. She is responsible for managing and facilitating knowledge sharing, internal communications and external relations for the organization. Divya has over 10 years experience in communications, with a focus on the non-profit sector.

Previously, Divya has worked for Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations, an independent, not-for-profit, membership-based foreign policy think tank based in Mumbai; Oasis, an international charity headquartered in the UK; and Text100, an integrated communications consultancy, based in their Bangalore office. Divya’s professional experience ranges from internal communications, public relations, media outreach, branding, donor relations, and content development. She has successfully led and worked on teams across geographies. In a voluntary capacity, Divya serves on the governing board of two children’s charities, and is the director of a social enterprise that provides skills and employment to disadvantaged women in Bangalore.

Divya has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, and a Master’s degree in English from the University of Mumbai. Divya is a classical pianist; she was initially a music teacher a private school for two years.
