Intern, Natural Infrastructure for Water

Bio

Melissa is an Intern in the Water Program. She works to analyze the benefits of the implementation of Natural Infrastructure solutions on drinking water systems in the southern region of Brazil.

Melissa previously worked in engineered solutions for stormwater, sewage and drinking water systems as well as solid waste, among others. She has also done research in inland-water pollution and flood modeling.

Melissa holds a B.S. in Environmental Hydraulics Engineering and a M.S in Environmental Engineering, both at the University of the Republic (Uruguay). Currently she is doing the Master in Environmental Management at Yale University.

Melissa is an energetic hiker that loves to be in contact with nature. Her others passions include visiting new places and eating pizza.
