Ronald G. Fraass, Director of EPA’s National Center for Radiation Field Operations

Ronald Fraass spent ten years with the Kansas Radiation Control Program after twenty years in the Air Force. During his Air Force career, he flew C-130 aircraft, taught physics at the Air Force Academy, and was Technical Director for an underground nuclear weapon effects test at the Nevada Test Site. He has been involved with radiation environmental monitoring and emergency response for more than twenty years. He has a Master of Science degree in nuclear engineering with a specialization in nuclear weapon effects.
