The Davis Bacon Act:
The Davis Bacon Act requires that all contractors and subcontractors performing construction, alteration and repair (including painting and decorating) work under federal or District of Columbia contracts in excess of $2,000 pay their laborers and mechanics not less than the prevailing wage and fringe benefits for the geographic location.  For additional information, refer to the Interim Davis Bacon Act guidance.

Project Conformance Request Protocol:
This protocol for the submission of Standard Form 1444, (Request for Authorization of Additional Classification and Rate) by State and local governmental recipients has been developed by the EPA Office of Grants and Debarment and the Department of Labor to address wage determinations.  For further information see Conformances under the Davis Bacon Act.
