Added September 2015
- September 30, 2015: SmartWay announces the release of its 2015 SmartWay Shipper Tool, which utilizes shippers' carrier data from the 2014 calendar year to allow them to assess their environmental performance. This tool lets shippers calculate their companies' annual CO2, NOx, and PM emissions, track annual changes, and evaluate freight movement choices based on performance.
- September 18, 2015: EPA issued a notice of violation of the Clean Air Act to Volkswagen North America and Volkswagen GmbH.

- July 29, 2015: SmartWay has published the latest TIPS freight movement indicators, with graphs showing Fuel Cost Savings by SmartWay Truck Carriers, Reduced Oil Consumption by SmartWay Truck Carriers, Reduction in CO2 Emissions by SmartWay Truck Carriers.
- July 22, 2015: SmartWay webinar: SmartWay Logistics Company Tool Demonstration Webinar #2 will take place on Wednesday, August 5th at 2:00pm Eastern Daylight Savings Time.
- July 8, 2015: SmartWay announces the release of its 2015 SmartWay Logistics Company Tool, which utilizes logistics companies' data from the 2014 calendar year to allow them to assess their environmental performance. This tool lets logistics companies calculate their companies' annual CO2, NOx, and PM emissions and track annual changes in performance.
- July 1, 2015: SmartWay webinar: SmartWay Logistics Company Tool Demonstration Webinar will take place on Wednesday, July 16th at 2:00pm Eastern Time.

- April 17, 2015: Seven top performing SmartWay affiliates were recognized by EPA as 2015 SmartWay Affiliate Challenge Honorees.
- April 2, 2015: SmartWay announces its beta 2015 SmartWay Air Carrier Tool, the latest addition to the suite of carrier modes covered by SmartWay Tools, which allow businesses in the freight supply chain to assess their environmental performance. Air freight carrier partners can use this tool to calculate their companies' annual CO2, NOx, and PM emissions and track annual changes in performance. SmartWay carrier modes currently include Truck, Rail, Barge, and Multimodal, along with tools for Shipper and Logistics Company partners.
