Dr. Deevish is a Stanford India Biodesign fellow 2014. Deevish graduated in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute. He continued to pursue his post-graduation in General Surgery from the same institute.
During his medical career he developed a low cost negative pressure wound therapy method which showed successful results in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers at affordable cost. Deevish has authored a book titled Obstetrics and Gynecology Made Easy which is popular among medical undergraduates.
Deevish aspires to be a surgeon innovator and change the age old ideas and ways of practicing the specialty. His special interests being robotic surgery and portable diagnostic devices.
As a SIB fellow, he aims to fill the void that separates medical sciences from advanced technology and develop low-cost medical devices and therapies for low-resource settings. In his free time, Deevish prefers to travel and involve in adventure sports
