Neeraj, a passionate product designer who always thinks that imagination has no limit but you need knowledge of technology and skills of a craftsman to realize that imagination. At Stanford India Biodesign (SIB), he developed his interest in design intervention in the domain of medical sciences. He has been working in the area of hospital sanitisation. He came up with a smart device Handy, which encourages health care professionals to adhere to the hand hygiene practices for the last one and a half years. The project received initial funding from Johnson & Johnson to develop the device. Moreover, he developed a cost effective wall mounted hand sanitizer, which is on its way to get licensed to Hindustan Lifecare Limited (HLL). Apart from that he is working on number of other medical devices including an innovative product Snuglife. Prior to SIB, he has worked as an industrial designer in smart cane project at IIT Delhi and worked as a visiting scholar at Institute of Ergonomics (IAD), TU Darmstadt, Germany where he worked on a concept of conduct by wire (CBW, automated driving system) in collaboration with OPEL. He is a BIRAC Fellow and went to attend entrepreneurial fellowship 2013 organized by Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, UK. He has a master in Industrial Design from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing, Jabalpur, India and Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science & Engineering from MMMEC Gorakhpur, India.
