Prior to joining Biodesign, Elise was a Senior R&D Engineer in the Interventional Specialties division of CareFusion, where she led a cross functional team to improve their pleural and peritoneal catheter systems. She has worked with customers to develop new product designs, obtained regulatory approval for four 510(k)'s, and successfully launched 8 new products. Elise earned a Certificate in Technical Entrepreneurship as a Kauffman Foundation Scholar at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, and was a fellow at the Center for Innovation in Neuroscience and Technology. She also completed a Certificate in Advanced Project Management at Stanford and started the Chicago chapter of OpenIDEO.
