Dr. Santiago Ocejo is founder and CEO of Salud Cercana, Mexico's first integrated delivery system for middle and low-income patients. Previously, Dr. Ocejo was the head of Health and Human Development for Pro Mujer Mexico, and Operations Manager for Pro Mujer International, overseeing the development and implementation of public health programs for the >200,000 clients across 5 countries. Prior to that, he co-founded CDA, a low-cost care delivery for diabetic patients in Mexico. He also co-founded Respira Design and Materna, two Stanford-based medical device start-ups. He has worked as a consultant for the WHO as well as a summer consultant for McKinsey & Co. He was recently appointed as a Presidential Innovation Fellow for Healthcare for the Office of the President (Mexico), where he has help develop the first app for 2.5 million pregnant women served by the system, allowing them to follow and control their pregnancy remotely. He holds an MD from Monterrey Tech in Mexico, an MPH from Harvard School of Public Health and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He was a Global Health by Design Fellow at Stanford Biodesign in 2007.
