Debra S. Echt, M.D, is a principal with DSE Consulting. Previously Dr. Echt was a consultant in clinical affairs with EBR Systems. Dr. Echt is board certified cardiologist with international recognition in interventional electrophysiology. Additionally, Dr. Echt is a consulting Associate Professor of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. Previously, she was an Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of the Arrhythmia Section at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She held a concurrent position as a consultant and member of the US FDA's Circulatory System Device Advisory panel for 1991-1996. Dr. Echt went on to be Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Clinical Research and Regulatory Affairs at Cardiac Pathways Corporation. In 2000, she went on to be Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Xoft microTube. Later she held a similar position of Vice President of Clinical Affairs at Timi3 Systems, Inc. From 2001 to 2003, Dr. Echt was a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Echt's educational background includes an undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Purdue University, an M.D. from Case Western Reserve University, and cardiology fellowship training at Stanford University.
