Jeffrey Gold is currently a Senior Advisor and Venture Partner with Longitude Capital, Inc., a life-sciences venture capital firm specializing in investments of medical device, biotechnology, pharmaceutical product development, and diagnostic and R & D tools. Mr. Gold focuses mostly on investments in medical devices. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Gold was CEO of CryoVascular Systems (acquired by Boston Scientific in 2005), a medical device company developing treatments for peripheral vascular disease. Prior to CryoVascular, Mr. Gold served as COO and Executive Vice President of CardioThoracic Systems (acquired by Guidant Corporation), a medical device company developing products to enable off-pump open-heart surgery. Mr. Gold also spent 18 years at Cordis Corporation in a series of management roles. Furthermore, he was co-founder and President of Cordis Endovascular Systems. Additionally, he serves on the boards of Access Closure, AngioDynamics (NASDAQ: ANGO), and Velomedix. He is a member of the Commercialization Advisory Board for the Cleveland Clinic and on the Executive Committee of the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the University of Florida. Mr. Gold received his B.S. degree in Engineering from Northwestern University as well as his M.B.A. from the University of Florida. He is also a graduate of GE's Manufacturing Management Program.
