In December 2006, Joshua Green joined venture capital firm Mohr Davidow Ventures for cleantech investments. Cleantech is a cross-discipline practice including a wide range of start-ups focused on investments in information technology and life sciences with a particular focus on energy and materials. The goal of cleantech investments according to Green is "to bring sustainable change and efficiency to classic industrial processes". For the past 25 years, Mr. Green has been an advisor to notable and well-known start-ups in computer, internet, telecommunications, biotech and medical device industries. Mr. Green is well-known for having worked with Cerent in the largest technology acquisition in Cisco's history ($8 billion). Additionally, he has helped more than 150 companies complete successful IPO's. Previously, he was an attorney as Venture Law Group. Until 2006, he was also working as an independent attorney in close affiliation with Heller Ehrman. From 1980 to 1995 he worked with Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP. Mr. Green graduated magna cum laude from UCLA in 1977 and UCLA School of Law in 1980. He is also the founder and chair of the UCLA Venture Capital Fund and a member of the Board of Visitors of the UCLA Department of Economics.
