Janice Hogan is a managing partner at Hogan Lovells, LLP., Philadelphia Office as well as co-director of the FDA/Medical Device practice where her practice focuses primarily on the representation of medical device, pharmaceutical, and biological product manufacturers before the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). She is a biomedical engineer and focuses on regulatory counseling related to high technology medical products. Prior to Hogan Lovells, Ms. Hogan served as an adjunct professor at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and as a guest lecturer at the Wharton School, Drexel University, and Stanford University on the development and regulation of medical products. Additionally, Ms. Hogan lectures at FDA regulatory law symposia's and conferences regarding topics such as premarket approval of medical products and product development. She has also served on the faculty of the FDA's staff college training for new review staff. She formerly served as a law clerk to The Honorable Irma S. Raker of the Maryland Court of Appeals. Ms. Hogan received her B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and Literature from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1988 and later her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1995.
