Michael Berman began his career as a product manager in the cardiology unit of a small Minneapolis company, SciMed Life Systems. Berman oversaw the developement of SciMed, whose catheters would later dominate the market. This success eventually led the company's purchase by Boston Scientific. Today, Berman is a seasoned medical device entrepreneur and angel investor. Previously, he was president of Boston Scientific Corp.'s Cardiology Unit and in addition he founded Velocimed and was a Director of Lutonix which were later sold. Currently, he serves on the boards of several medical-device startup companies including Apnex Medican Inc. and BridgePoint Medical Inc. Mr. Berman also received his B.S. in 1979 and M.B.A in 1986 from Cornell University.
