Mike Carusi has been a general partner at Advanced Technology Ventures(ATV) since 1998 working on the healthcare team. He provides strategic leadership and insight for emerging companies in the life sciences and medical device sectors. Mr. Carusi represents such companies as Ardian (acquired by Medtronic) which specialize in medical technology. He also represents companies such as EndoGastric Solutions and GI Dynamics (ASX: GID) which specialize in the development of effective non-surgical approaches for treating type 2 diabetes. Prior to joining ATV, Mike served as the Director of Business Development for Inhale Therapeutic Systems (now Nektar Therapeutics, NASDAQ: NKTR), a venture-backed pulmonary drug delivery company that went public in 1994. Mike was also a Principal at The Wilkerson Group, a strategic ATV partner and leading management consulting firm focused exclusively on health care. Mike earned an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University.
