?scar Miranda was born in Mexico City. He graduated with honors from Instituto Politecnico Nacional in Biomedical Engineering in 2000. In 2001, he completed his master degree in Control Engineering and Automation from Tecnologico de Monterrey. Since 2001 he has been the Chief of Technological Development of the Hospital San Jose de Monterrey with the responsibilities of analyzing all the medical equipment necessities and select the best solution in terms of security, costs, service and other non-economical related matters. He is one of the Tecnologico de Monterrey's biomedical engineering undergraduate program founders and the Director of the program since its beginning of August 2003.
