Robert W. Croce is currently a Venture Partner at New Enterprise Associates (NEA) stationed in its Florida office. He works with existing new healthcare portfolio companies and evaluates new health care deals. Prior to joining NEA, Mr. Croce held various high level positions at Johnson & Johnson with the last 12 years as the Company Group Chairman. Mr. Croce began his career with the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies in 1968 as a Sales Representative for the Ortho Pharmaceutical Corporation. He advanced through various sales and marketing positions and in 1984 he was named Ortho's Vice President of Marketing. Mr. Croce was also Worldwide Franchise Chairman of Cordis, a Johnson & Johnson company. Cordis is a worldwide manufacturer of interventional cardiology, radiology and electrophysicology products for circulatory disease management. Additionally, he was Worldwide Franchise Chairman for Ethicon Endo-Surgery, which manufactures endoscopic and mechanical products. He has also held positions such as Vice President of Business Development at McNeil Pharmaceutical, Group Vice President and President of Ethicon Inc., and Worldwide President of Ethicon Endo-Surgery. He is currently on the board of directors at Moximed, Inc., Svelte Medical Systems, Inc., and Acclarent, Inc. Mr. Croce is a graduate of Central Missouri State University, where he earned undergraduate and graduate degrees. Before joining Johnson & Johnson, he worked for Western Electric and served in the United States Army.
