Richard Lin, M.D., joined Three Arch Partners, a consulting firm that provides startup companies with access to relevant clinical and business resources, in 1998. Prior to Three Arch, Dr. Lin trained in general surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. He was also a research scientist at the UCSF School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School where he authored numerous peer reviewed articles and abstracts. Dr. Lin has been an active investor and board member in numerous biotechnology, healthcare service, and medical device companies. Dr. Lin holds a B.S. in Biology from Stanford University where he graduated with honors and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He received his M.D. from Harvard Medical School where he graduated cum laude. While at Harvard, Dr. Lin was named a Howard Hughes Scholar for his research efforts. He also has an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he was named an Arjay Miller Scholar for outstanding academic achievement.
