Tad Simons is a co-founder and currently a managing director at Pyxera Inc., a consulting and development corporation focused on creating innovative and valuable offerings for healthcare and the life sciences companies. His current work focuses on examining healthcare systems and helping companies build internal innovation capabilities. Prior to Pyxera, Mr. Simons was a co-founder in IDEO's global health practice where he helped to significantly expand the global health effort in pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, biotechnology, consumer health, and hospital systems. Before IDEO, Mr. Simons worked at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories where he used his design, clinical, and business experience to help with healthcare planning and life science. Mr. Simons holds B.S. (with distinction) and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. He also holds an M.S. from the California Institute of Technology.
