Theodore Lamson, Ph.D., is Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer of NeoTract, Inc., where he is the primary inventor. NeoTract was initiated within the ExploraMed incubator and is now a medical device company focused on the development of minimally invasive surgical devices. Previously, Dr. Lamson was CEO of NeoTract for four years but now oversees clinical procedure and development of medical affairs. Prior to founding NeoTract, Dr. Lamson was Vice President of Advanced Technologies at Medtronic in the Vascular Division, a role directly linked to his prior position as Vice President of R&D for TransVascular, Inc., which was acquired by Medtronic in 2003. Prior to TransVascular, Dr. Lamson held the position of Section Manager, Research & Development at Schneider/NAMIC, then a subsidiary of Pfizer, Inc. He also held the position of Project Engineer on the Totally Implantable Artificial Heart Program, a collaborative effort between Sarns/3M, Inc. and the Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Lamson holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Bioengineering from the Pennsylvania State University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has more than 25 years of experience in the fields of interventional cardiology, radiology, cardiothoracic surgery, otolaryngology and urology.
