William Fearon, M.D., is an Associate Professor-Med Center Line (MCL), at Stanford University School of Medicine. He specializes in Cardiovascular Medicine. Additionally, his clinical focus is in Interventional Cardiology, Coronary Artery Disease, Percutaneous Aortic Valve, Aortic Stenosis, Coronary Physiology, and Cardiology. Dr. Fearon's general research interest is coronary physiology and in particular investigating invasive methods for evaluating the coronary microcirculation. Furthermore, he is currently conducting clinical trials with ACE Inhibition and Cardiac Allograft Vasculopathy as well as a trial to study the effectiveness of the Tryton Side Branch Stent. Dr. Fearon received his B.A. from Dartmouth College in English. He later received his M.D. from Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford University Medical Center, and served an extra year as Medical Chief Resident. He went on to complete a Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Stanford as well. His research interests include coronary physiology, and in particular invasive techniques for assessing intermediate coronary lesions and for interrogating the coronary microcirculation.
