The Stanford Center on International Conflict and Negotiation (SCICN) and CISAC are collaborating to support a special initiative on international conflict resolution. The two centers share a concern with the pressing issues of peacebuilding today: the resolution of international and intergroup conflict; war-to-peace transitions, and the strengthening of institutions and communities to prevent future conflict.
SCICN's Graduate Fellowship Program recruits 12 of Stanford's brightest graduate students who focus on conflict resolution and peacebuilding in their research. SCICN and CISAC fellows benefit from the deep ties and scholarsly exchange between the two centers, which have a rich heritage of collaborative work led by scholars such as David Holloway, Lee Ross, Stephen Stedman and Allen Weiner.
In the 2012-2013 academic year, our collaboration includes bringing SCICN and CISAC's communities together for a series of co-sponsored seminars on key issues related to international conflict and negotiation. See below for the list of events in this series.
