The Marilyn Yalom Research Fund supports currently enrolled Stanford Ph.D. candidates working in the humanities on issues concerning women and gender in the humanities. The research funds support original research or conference costs. Dr. Yalom has been part of the Clayman Institute since 1976, having served as both Associate Director and Acting Director. She is currently a Senior Scholar, and is well known as an internationally acclaimed literary scholar of women's and gender issues.
All currently enrolled Stanford Ph.D. candidates (males and females) in humanities disciplines are eligible for the Marilyn Yalom Research Fund Award. Prize winners are expected to be Clayman Institute Graduate Affiliates. One award of up to $1500 will be granted in 2015. The award is available for conference costs (travel, lodging, or fees) or other expenses directly relating to research.
Any research supported by the Marilyn Yalom Research Fund of Stanford University's Michelle R. Clayman Institute for Gender Research shall acknowledge that fact in its published version.
