Overview

ThinkSwiss is a program whose aim is to encourage collaboration between Swiss and US students and academics in a variety of fields.

The Award

Each year, 15 research scholarships are offered to both undergraduates and graduate students. These scholarships provide a monthly stipend (approximately $1,000 US) for a period of 2 to 3 months to conduct research at a public Swiss university or research institute. The scholarship is open to outstanding students in all fields with an interest in conducting research in Switzerland.

By accepting this scholarship, award winners agree to participate in a blog to share their experiences during your research stay in Switzerland. After their return to the U.S. they also agree to carry out at least one activity as student “ambassador” to promote Swiss research.

Applicants must:

  • Be currently enrolled at an accredited U.S. university/college

  • Be a graduate student or an undergraduate student who will have completed your sophomore year by the time the research stay in Switzerland begins
