Wastewater
OVERVIEW: The Environmental Quality Group works with faculty, students, researchers, food service establishments, and other campus facilities staff and contractors to ensure their awareness of the regulatory requirements for proper storage and disposition of wastes that could impact wastewater quality, blockages, and compliance. Wastewater monitoring by both the Palo Alto Regional Water Quality Control Plant and Stanford monitors the program’s effectiveness. Through its management practices, Stanford’s wastewater pollution prevention program achieves its high standard for compliance and environmental stewardship.
