Visit Stanford Anatomy With Your High School Class

Stanford's Clinical Anatomy offers specialized visits for high school students (arranged as field trips by their teachers) throughout the year! Last year Stanford Anatomy accommodated hundreds of students on visits to our labs and facilities, resulting in a rewarding and unforgettable experience.

Through customizable programs, the instructors help students discover, learn, and apply human anatomy in a professional context by introducing students to many of the same learning resources used by Stanford medical students.  During visits students may be exposed to bones, plastic models, the Bassett image collection, 3D stereoscopic resources, the Anatomage virtual table, iPad apps, and digital resources developed in house. High school students ages 15 and up are also introduced to learning anatomy through exposure to prosected cadaveric specimens when appropriate.

Group sizes usually range from 12 – 40 but special arrangements can be made for smaller and larger groups. A typical visit lasts 1 – 1½ hours. The priceds is based on number of students in attendance and rates will depend on groups specific requirements. Students must be accompanied by adult chaperones during the visit.
