    Research Interest

    Interested in improving the quality, value, and accessibility of health care in the U.S. through research on emergency care. Specific interests include: facilitating improved decision making for prehospital transport and interfacility transfers; enhancing population level outcomes for emergency conditions through integrated regional networks of care; and evaluating the role of emergency departments as the safety net for populations with poor access to primary care.

    I study the health and economic outcomes related to the prevention and management of chronic diseases. I am specifically interested in population- and system-based approaches to improve health.
