Informal "astro-ph" coffees take place at 10:30am Tuesday (on campus, 3rd floor conference room) and Friday (at SLAC, FKB auditorium). These include discussions of "hot" new astronomy in the news, rumors, scientific journals, research groups, and/or conferences attended -- but primarily of abstracts from the astro-ph preprint server for discussion of recent results in astronomy. Additionally, each astro-ph coffee will feature a 10-minute "teatime talk," giving a brief glance into an ongoing research project.
Ease of transportation between SLAC and the Stanford campus is provided by the Marguerite Shuttle SLAC Line.
Any additional Astronomy Group meeting/events will appear in this space.
