How To:  Run Reports in CMS

Step 1 – Log in to CMS

1. Go to https://ofweb.stanford.edu
2. Enter your SUNet ID and Password
3. Click SU CMS USER to open CMS

Step 2 – From the Reports screen, search for and select the Accounts (PTAs) you wish to include in reports

1. Select Report tab
2. Enter the account (PTA ) search criteria
3. Click Go – Execute Your Search
   
   
   Note:  To view reports you ran in the past 60 days, click View Previously Run Reports.
   
   

Step 3 – From the search results list, select Account(s), time period and budget version to include in Report(s)

1. Click the check box in the Select column for each account (PTA) you want to include
2. Enter or Search for a time period in the Period field
3. Select the Budget Version (hard or soft) from the drop-down menu
4. Click Continue

Step 4 – From the Select Report(s) to Run screen, select desired reports and enter report parameters

1. Click the check box in the Select column for each report you wish to run
   
   
   Note:  Click the Sample Report icon to view a sample of any report.
   
   

Under Report Options:

2. Select the Commitment Type (CMS or Hard)
3. Select the Output Type (PDF or Excel)
4. Enter Request Name (optional field for easy recognition)
5. Select 720-Rollup Level if you have selected the 720: PTA Overview report
   • Select Detail and/or Summary level
   • Select Additional Options (none, salary vs. non-salary)
6. Select the month and year for the Start and End Period (the time period cannot exceed one year)
7. Select 800-Rollup Level and select Actual Months if you have selected the 800: Month By Month Burn Rate: by PTA report
8. Select 820-Notes Level if you have selected the 820: PTA Notes report
9. Click Run Report(s) to execute the reports you selected

Step 5 – From the Requests Summary Table, select reports to view or save

1. Click Refresh button until the Phase column indicates "Completed" and an icon appears in the Report column
2. Click Report icon to view report
