ST. CATHARINES, Ontario – Liz Fenje ’13 helped lead Canada to the highest medal total in rowing at the 2015 Pan American Games with her gold medal performance in the lightweight double sculls.
Fenje and teammate Katherine Sauks won the event on Tuesday with a time of 6:57.23, over three seconds faster than silver medalist Cuba.
The gold medal for the LW2x was one of eight gold medals for the host country. No other nation had more than two. Canada tallied 11 medals overall, two more than the United States.
Fenje also raced in the single sculls final on Wednesday, finishing fifth overall.
