STANFORD, Calif. – Five Stanford women’s soccer players earned National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Pacific Region honors, as announced Thursday by the organization.
Four Cardinal players earned first team recognition, including MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist Andi Sullivan (M), Maddie Bauer (D), Jane Campbell (GK) and Haley Rosen (M). Freshman Alana Cook (D) earned second team honors.
Stanford’s four first-team regional selections are the most of any program in the nation and its five honors are the most in the Pacific region.
It is the second all-region honor of Sullivan’s career after earning second-team recognition as a freshman in 2014. The sophomore co-captain was one of 15 players in the country selected as a MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist – an annual award given to the nation’s best player – earlier this week and is the only Pac-12 player on among the semifinalists.

Sullivan is an elite two-way player, leading Stanford in points (12), goals (5) and game-winning goals (3) for a majority of the season while also leading one of the nation’s best defenses as a holding midfielder. She started every game and played all but 37:30 minutes during the season.
Sullivan led the Cardinal to an undefeated conference season and Pac-12 title, was an All-Pac-12 First Team selection and earned Player of the Week honors during the season from the Pac-12 and TopDrawerSoccer. Academically, she earned the first Pac-12 All-Academic honor of her career.
All five of Sullivan's goals either gave Stanford a lead or eliminated a one-goal deficit.
Bauer anchored Stanford’s defense at center back and helped Stanford record 12 shutouts and limit opponents to 13 goals on the season (0.55 GAA). The junior co-captain's experience, speed and ability to halt opponents’ attack was undeniable and forced the opposition to find alternate routes to the goal.

Campbell continued to establish herself as one of the best goalkeepers in Stanford history. The junior co-captain and Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Year registered 10 shutouts to bring her career total to 30 – good for fourth most in program history. Campbell boasted a 0.58 GAA and excelled in high pressure situations. Her athleticism and communication in goal helped the Cardinal secure 11 one-goal victories.
Campbell made big saves all year, including this one at Utah to help Stanford secure a 4-1 victory.
Rosen had a breakout redshirt senior season after being limited by injuries earlier in her career. Her possession, vision, distribution and ability to score from long range with both feet made her one of the most dangerous attacking midfielders in the country. Rosen earned All-Pac-12 First Team honors and Pac-12 All-Academic recognition, starting 22-of-23 games.
Among her multiple highlight performances, Rosen assisted Stanford’s game-winning goal against No. 16 USC that clinched at least a share of the Cardinal’s 10th Pac-12 title.

Alana Cook quickly established herself as one of the nation’s elite defenders during her freshman campaign, starting all 23 games at center back. She was named the Pac-12 Freshman/Newcomer of the Year, marking the second consecutive season a Stanford player has won the award after Andi Sullivan did so a year ago. Cook utilized her unique blend of skill, size, speed, intelligence and physicality to shut down opponents. She contributed offensively as well with three goals and an assist on the season.
Cook scored a late equalizer against California to help Stanford complete an undefeated Pac-12 schedule.
