Employment results for the Stanford MBA Class of 2014 demonstrate that leading organizations continue to value the critical thinking, global mindset, innovative spirit, and leadership skills of Stanford MBAs. They also reflect and validate Stanford GSB’s emphasis on supporting students in a wide variety of career goals and pathways.

Full-Time Positions

  • 94% received a job offer by 90 days post-graduation.
  • 350 organizations hired MBA students; 92% of organizations hired one or two students.
  • Finance resumed its typical position as the top industry, attracting 29% of students.
  • Technology was the second most popular industry, attracting 24% of students. Historically, this percentage fluctuates each year.
  • At 16%, student interest in consulting remains significant.
  • Other notable areas of student interest were consumer products & services at 8%, the highest since 2005. The combined categories of nonprofit and government together were 7%, setting a GSB record.
