Vitaly Leonidovich Katayev

Biography: 

Vitaly Leonidovich Katayev (1932–2001) joined the Defense Industry Department of the Central Committee of the Soviet Communist Party in 1975, after fifteen years as a designer in the Soviet defense industry. He served as deputy head of defense until the department was disbanded in 1993. His papers are deposited at the Hoover Institution Library and Archives.
