Sustainably Managing Environmental Health Risk in Ecuador
Jerry Spiegel
This project was established to build human resources and institutional capabilities to reduce health impacts associated with environmental health risks in this low-income country. In order to achieve health and ecosystem outcome improvements, this 6 year CIDA-funded University Partnerships in Cooperation and Development (UPCD) project relies on the strengthening of links between universities and communities as well as the creation of a regional network involving Latin American centres of excellence in Cuba and Mexico to enhance sustainability.
