Finger Formation
Videos of finger formation with wild-type cells. The light source (warm white LED) is incident from the left. All microscopy was done at 4x magnification.

Changing Light Direction
Depicting cells inside a finger-like projection.
From an original light source incident from the bottom of the frame, the direction of the light source was changed such that it was now incident from the left of the frame.
You can observe cells move in response to the light direction change, and then move into neighboring fingers.

Light On-off Experiement
Cells are moving in finger-like projections toward a white LED light source incident from the left.

Video taken 1 day after inoculation
The original light source was turned off on these cells that were moving in the finger-like projections. You can observe the cell-dense region at the tip of the fingers lose its cohesion, and cells disperse in all directions.

After experiencing the light-off condition, the light source was renewed, incident from the left. You can observe the cells regain their movement toward the light source.
