The Stanford Alumni Mentoring Program (SAM) is organized through BEAM, Stanford Career Education and allows current Stanford students to seek out and connect to alumni mentors for career and academic advice. The SAM program is an excellent resource to help students find mentors in their field and build relationships with the alumni community.
We highly encourage GSE students to take advantage of this program because only current Stanford students are allowed to find mentors through SAM. Interested students must complete an orientation session before searching for a SAM mentor.
SAM is a robust platform for building relationships between students and alumni. As a registered alumni, you have the opportunity to impact a student’s life by sharing your professional and academic experiences. Mentorship from experienced alumni helps students identify and work toward their career goals as well as forge life-long friendships. Learn more about the SAM program.
