This call for proposals is open to Stanford faculty performing new research in energy and consists of three parts. A letter of intent to submit is due on May 15, 2015, and full proposals are due on June 29, 2019.

Part I, is a general call for seed funding proposals related to energy from the Precourt Institute for Energy. Expected seed funding for each proposed project in Part I is up to $100,000 per year. Projects for Part I can be funded for up to two years.

Part II, is a targeted call for seed funding proposals related to energy for developing countries, which will be supported by funds from the Precourt Institute for Energy. Expected seed funding for each proposed project in Part II is up to $100,000 per year. Projects for Part II can be funded for up to two years.

Part III, is a targeted call for seed funding proposals to enhance energy research collaboration between Stanford and the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, which will be supported by funds from the Precourt Institute for Energy. Funding for each proposed collaboration is $85,000 for one year and is intended to support graduate student and postdoctoral scholar efforts.
